Editing text that's already part of the image
Once a design is exported as a PNG or JPG, the text stops being text. It's just pixels shaped like letters, sitting on top of whatever was behind them. Changing a name means reconstructing the background the old letters covered, then setting the new ones to match.
Matching is the part that takes skill. It isn't only the typeface — it's the letter spacing, the weight, the baseline, any arch or curve, and whatever outline, shadow or texture was applied afterwards. Get any of those slightly wrong and the edit is visible even to people who couldn't say why.
For personalised products this is worth automating in your head as a two-step process: send us the design once, then send names as orders come in.
