Can you clean up a design if I only have a small, low-resolution copy?

Often, yes — but it depends on what's left in the file. Text, geometric shapes and flat-colour graphics rebuild well even from small sources. Photographic detail and fine texture generally don't. Send the file and we'll tell you honestly what's recoverable before you pay.

Will the cleaned design look different from my original?

It should look like your original, only sharper. We don't restyle, recolour or reinterpret. If your brief needs a genuine change to the design, that's a modification job rather than a cleanup, and we'll price it as one.

Do I need to tell you what's wrong with it?

It helps, but plain language is fine. "There's a white box behind it" or "the edges look furry" is enough for us to know what to do.

Compression damage
Blocky halos and colour mottling from a file that's been saved, resized and re-saved too many times.

What design cleanup actually involves

Cleanup is not a filter. Most of the damage in a reused design is structural: the edge data is gone, the transparency has been baked into a white rectangle, and the fine detail has been averaged away by successive JPEG saves. No automatic tool recovers information that isn't in the file any more.

So we rebuild it. Edges get re-cut against the original shapes rather than feathered. Transparency is reconstructed as a real alpha channel, not a colour key that leaves a grey fringe. Flat areas of colour are re-flattened so compression mottling doesn't reappear when the file is resized.

The concept stays entirely yours. We're repairing the file, not redesigning it — if we think the design itself needs changing, we'll tell you rather than doing it unasked.
