Why does my PNG print with a white box around it?

Because the transparency isn't really there. Somewhere in the file's history the alpha channel was flattened onto a white background. On screen against a white page it's invisible; on a coloured product it prints as a rectangle. We rebuild the transparency so that stops happening.

Can you fix a blurry PNG?

We can substantially improve edges, shapes, text and flat-colour areas. Detail that was genuinely lost — fine photographic texture, for instance — can't be invented back. Send it over and we'll tell you which of those you're dealing with.

Should I use PNG or SVG for my design?

PNG for anything photographic or with soft shading, and for most DTF and DTG printing. SVG when you need it to scale to any size, cut on a vinyl plotter, or stay editable. If you need both, ask — we can supply both from the same job.

Why PNG transparency breaks so often

Transparency in a PNG is stored in a separate alpha channel. Almost every way a file gets moved around — pasted into a document, exported from a phone app, screenshotted, run through a converter — throws that channel away and replaces it with whatever colour was behind it.

The result looks fine on the white background of your screen and fails immediately on a coloured shirt or mug. The other common failure is a matte fringe: the transparency survived, but the edge pixels were blended against white before it was saved, leaving a pale outline that no amount of background removal will fix.

Both are repairable, but they need the edge re-cut rather than the background re-deleted. That's what this service does.
