Vector Conversion

Turn a PNG or JPG into a vector file

Send a PNG, a JPG, a scan or a screenshot. Get back a vector file that scales to any size without softening, and that cuts and separates correctly.

What we fix

If any of this sounds familiar, we can help

  • It pixelates when enlarged

The image is fine at thumbnail size and falls apart on anything bigger.

  • Your printer asked for vector

Screen printers, sign makers and embroiderers frequently won't accept raster files at all.

  • It won't cut

Cricut, Silhouette and vinyl plotters need real paths, not pixels.

  • You only have a photo or scan

The original artwork is long gone and all that's left is a photograph of it.

What conversion can and can't recover

Vector conversion works by rebuilding your artwork as mathematical shapes. That works extremely well for anything built out of shapes to begin with: logos, lettering, badges, line art, silhouettes, flat illustration.

It works badly for photographs and heavily textured artwork. A photograph converted to vector becomes either a posterised approximation or a file with tens of thousands of paths — neither is what people want when they ask for it. If that's what you have, we'll say so rather than take the order.

In between sit scans and photographs of flat artwork — a printed logo, a hand-drawn design, an old label. Those convert well, because the underlying artwork is shape-based even if your copy of it isn't.

What you get back
  • Clean vector paths in SVG, AI, EPS or PDF
  • Scales to any size with no loss of quality
  • Cut-ready for Cricut, Silhouette and plotters
  • Colours flattened and separable on request
