File & License Policy

Two different things get confused here: work we do on your artwork, and designs you buy from our store. They have different licences.

Last updated August 21, 2026

Draft. This policy describes how DesignFix operates but has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. It will be finalised before launch.

Artwork you send us

Stays yours. Uploading it grants us permission to open, modify and store it for the purpose of completing your order, and nothing else.

We don't resell it, we don't add it to our store, we don't use it in marketing, and we don't use it to train anything. If we would like to show your before-and-after as an example, we'll ask you first and take no for an answer.

Files we deliver to you

Also yours. We assign you any rights that might arise in the modifications we make, so the finished file carries whatever rights you had in the original.

You can use delivered files commercially, including on products you sell, without paying us anything further.

One limit: we can only pass on rights we have. If the artwork you sent us was licensed to you with restrictions, those restrictions still apply to the modified version.

Designs bought from our store

Store products are licensed, not sold. You get a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide licence to use the design on physical products you make and sell, and in your own marketing for them.

You may not resell, redistribute or give away the design file itself, whether on its own, in a bundle, or as part of a digital product. The licence covers what you make with the design, not the design file.

You may not claim the design as your own original work, register it as a trademark, or attempt to restrict others licensed to use it.

The licence covers one buyer. If you need it for a team or multiple businesses, contact us.

File retention

The artwork you upload to an order is automatically and permanently deleted 30 days after upload. We don't keep your source files longer than we need them, and the deletion is automatic rather than something you have to ask for.

Files sent through a message are kept with that conversation instead, so the thread and what was attached to it stay together. Email [email protected] if you'd like them removed.

The finished files we deliver are kept so you can re-download them from your account. Download anything you want to keep — and keep your own copy of the original artwork you sent us, because ours will be gone after 30 days.

Your order record itself — the order number, what you asked for, what you paid and what we delivered — is retained for accounting and tax purposes even after the files are deleted.

You can ask us to delete the files attached to an order sooner by emailing [email protected]. Once deleted they cannot be recovered.

If you think something infringes your rights

Email [email protected] with details of the work, where it appears on our site, and your relationship to it. We take these seriously and will remove infringing material.
